The snow held out for a full 10 days with another heavy snow fall 7 days after the first. Heavy rain washed the snow away in a few hours bring floods. I have seen the area around the trees completely submerged in water but in the bottom left hand corner you can see that the stream is nearly full.

This one is a bit of a cheat, only 3 days after the first picture. This much snow is rare in Oxford so I really wanted to include a shot of the trees in snow.

The view from my bedroom window is dominated by a clump of willow trees. Some times it seems to me that they appear different every single day. For some time I have had this project in mind - to take one picture of the trees each week for a year.



My ideal would be to take the picture the same time, the same day, each week but I am not that disciplined. I thought that the weekend would be the best time for me to do it but even the first weekend I forgot to take a picture, hence the first picture was taken on a Monday. Perhaps opening my curtains to this rather moody, misty and frosty sceen reminded of my intentions.
