7 May, 2007 - May Day

The weather was really warm while we were away. We have missed a lot. Wilbur's world has really changed in two weeks.

8 April, 2007

Easter Sunday. We have enjoyed a glorious Bank Holiday weekend. Sadly there has been little time for gardening. It seems to me to be very early for the tulips to be blooming but today Wilbur's World is dotted with splashes of bright red.

March 2007

Wilbur's world is primarily a spring garden and by March it is a profusion of yellow with daffodils, forsythia, winter flowering jasmine and primroses.

Anemones add splashes of blue and white.

February 2007

In early February we enjoyed our first taste of Spring. In the garden snow drops and crocii are already in bloom, including these self sets in the back lawn.

January 2007

January 2007, in Oxfordshire we saw the heaviest snow fall that we have had for some years. To many 4 inches of snow may be little more than a flurry, but here it was sufficient to close nearly every school in the county. By early morning the snow had stopped falling and Wilbur's World glistened beneath brilliant sunshine. To the regret of Oxfordshire's children the snow only lasted 2 days and their unexpected holiday was short lived.
